Co-

Generation

(Combined

Heat-Power)

Cogeneration refers to the simultaneous production of electrical energy and useful thermal energy (such as heat or steam) from the same fuel source. This is also know as Combined Heat and Power generation (CHP).

The energy produced can be used to improve power quality, improve power reliability, create cost savings through peak load or demand charge reduction, establish grid independence and is a statement about being "green." The heat produced when generating electricity is used to create hot water or steam, which can be used in a plant or building heating network.  Cogeneration offers much higher energy efficiency than ordinary power generation.

Catalyst works closely with utilities, energy service providers and manufacturers to provide cost effective financing options for these projects.

We can finance projects as small as $100,000.  Larger projects ($5 million and greater) are ideal for project financing.
