About Us

Catalyst Financial Group, Inc., is an independent financial services firm that specializes in helping public and private sector organizations finance energy efficiency, renewable energy, water conservation and other sustainable projects. Our clients include electric and gas utilities, energy service companies and manufacturers for whom we design and implement customized finance programs for their customers. We assist large foundations in reviewing their grant programs and Program Related Investments (PRI) for their environmental grantees and recommend improvements to maximize effectiveness and value for these activities. We are financial consultants to the US EPA ENERGY STARŪ program, running workshops designed to help Public Sector partners work through the decision making process and overcome financial barriers to doing more energy efficiency projects sooner.

Catalyst's services include funding for both finance programs and individual projects, designing finance programs, training of marketing staff, and providing field support. Catalyst can also facilitate grant funding for larger institutions such as hospitals, schools, universities and other public and non-profit entities.

Catalyst acts as financial advisors and arranges financing for multiple or single transactions as well as purchases existing customer loan/lease portfolios.

Catalyst uses traditional financing vehicles (e.g., leases, loans, and tax exempt municipal leases), non-traditional financing vehicles (e.g., energy service agreements and tax-exempt energy service agreements) as well non-traditional sources of funds (e.g., state and local revolving loan funds).
